Conference organisers should discuss scope, paper count and editorial arrangements with the journal before proposing publication to participants. Conference presentation does not automatically establish journal acceptance. Disclose any proceedings version and explain the additional contribution where an extended article is submitted.

Keep a complete manuscript record

Maintain the submitted file, decision messages, revision responses and the final approved version together. Check that the title and author order stay consistent between the manuscript and submission form. When a change affects authorship or a central result, discuss it with the coauthors and editor instead of silently replacing the record.
