Abstract
Innovation is an essential factor for achieving a significant competitive edge in firms, but the development in this field has been extensive and fragmented. The focus of this research is on the body of literature and the determinants that drive innovation management in businesses. The goal was to study important determinants responsible for driving innovation in a firm, so the managers can be able to manage the proceedings properly with a plausible framework. This research highlights nine critical determinants that are important for managers for driving innovation forward in an organization. A systematic literature review procedure that included over fifty studies was followed to accomplish the intended purposes. The paper focused on nine primary determinants that are crucial for managing innovation in an organizational setting. Then the study goes over the inductively developed model, which shows the essential links found to draw a clear picture of innovation management and the responsible determinants. As a result, rather than focusing on individual aspects, we argue that the management of innovation should be considered a systematic approach. As a result, we may conclude that the elements have a variety of dominant interactions, as the innovation management process is the only interior determinant in the framework.
