Abstract
Containerized microservices frequently encounter runtime crashes, resource bottlenecks, and configuration drifts. While standard observability stacks detect threshold anomalies and statistical models isolate candidate culprits, remediation remains predominantly manual. This human dependency inflates the Mean Time to Remediate (MTTR) and increases system downtime in dynamic cloud environments.
To address these limitations, this paper introduces HealOps, an autonomous self-healing framework for containerized architectures. HealOps pairs continuous Prometheus telemetry with a LangGraph state orchestrator driven by a local quantized large language model. By leveraging a ChromaDB vector store for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), the system eliminates hallucinations and executes deterministic runtime recoveries directly via the Docker Engine SDK.
